Mytocel MSK®

Five clinical records, examined in greater detail.

01
Mytocel MSK®Pilot studyn=1012 months

Efficacy of Autologous Micrografting Technology in Managing Osteoarthritis Pain

Helito CP, Pessei V, Zaniboni C, Muntean I. Bioengineering, 11(11):1119 (2024).

Population

Adults with knee osteoarthritis, Kellgren–Lawrence grades 2–4

Study context

The study followed clinical outcome measures after an autologous cartilage micrograft procedure using Rigenera technology.

Limitations

Small pilot cohort without a control group. Findings should be interpreted as preliminary and in the context of the study design.

02
Mytocel MSK®Prospective observational studyn=1012 months

Prospective Observational Study of a Non-Arthroscopic Autologous Cartilage Micrografting Technology for Knee Osteoarthritis

Tsoukas D, Muntean I, Simos C, Sabido-Vera R. Bioengineering, 10(11):1294 (2023).

Population

Adults with knee osteoarthritis across Kellgren–Lawrence grades 1–4

Study context

The cohort was assessed using clinical examination and patient-reported outcome measures after a single procedure.

Limitations

Small uncontrolled observational cohort with no comparator group. It cannot establish comparative effectiveness or causation.

03
Mytocel MSK®Case series / follow-up studyn=83 years

Cartilage Micrografts as a Novel Non-Invasive and Non-Arthroscopic Autograft Procedure for Knee Chondropathy

Marcarelli M, Zappia M, Rissolio L, Baroni C, Astarita C, Trovato L, Graziano A. Journal of Clinical Medicine, 10(2):322 (2021).

Population

Adults with grade II–III knee chondropathy

Study context

The report followed clinical scores and standardised MRI measurements after autologous cartilage micrografting.

Limitations

Very small uncontrolled case series. The long follow-up is useful context, but the design does not support broad comparative claims.

ChondroFiller® Liquid

ChondroFiller® Liquid research for professional appraisal.

These documents are presented as source material for professional appraisal. Their inclusion does not imply equal study design, evidence strength or applicability.

Interpretation guardrails

What this library does not do.

  • It does not turn an uncontrolled cohort into comparative evidence.
  • It does not generalise beyond the population and follow-up described by the authors.
  • It does not replace critical appraisal, current instructions or professional clinical judgement.
